Trés Dias Weekends

January and February 2012

Trés Dias is many things: a spiritual retreat, a "course" in Christianity, small groups, Christian leadership, and spirituality with roots in the Spanish Catholic Cursillo de Cristiandad retreats. There will be a Men's Trés Dias Retreat January 12-15 and a Women's Trés Dias Retreat February 9 - 12. Both retreats take place at Camp Mechuwana on Lake Annabessecook in Winthrop, ME.

Trés Dias of Maine offers a three-day interdenominational spiritual retreat. It's held several times during the year. It's not just a time of recharge and renewal but a chance to study with and rub shoulders with Christians from other faith traditions. Participants run the gamut from Lutheran to Episcopalian to Catholic to Baptist to floaters-in-denominational-limbo. That's one of the great things about this retreat--it's not nondenominational, it's interdenominational, where we can celebrate even doctrinal differences.

The three days include worship times with both responsive readings and liturgy and more casual guitar-powered singing; prayer including written prayers, spontaneous prayers, silent prayers, and personal quiet time; talks delivered both by laypeople and by clergy from several different denominations, ranging on topics from Sacraments, to grace, to obstacles to the Christian life.
